The new exhibition and event series “Viral Hallucinations”, which will take place from 2024 to 2026 at the Temporary House of Photography, focuses on the role of photographic and AI-generated images in the growing social influ- ence of conspiracy theories. Exhibitions, lectures, and workshops will present current visual cultures that travel among the spheres of humor, distraction, ideologies, and systematic disinformation.
This first European solo exhibition »TACTICS AND MYTHOLOGIES« by the New York duo Andrea Orejarena (*1994, Colombia) and Caleb Stein (*1994, UK) presents a photographic road trip through the visual worlds of viral conspiracy theories. The photographic and filmic works of Orejarena & Stein explore the history of simulation techniques and current narratives of disinformation
The exhibition will be on view until 26 January, 2025.
